Joe Connell has been assisting clients with their retirement plans for nearly 14 years. Joe’s areas of expertise include ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, fiduciary responsibilities, and participant education. His primary goals when working with companies on their retirement plans are to simplify the plan management for the plan sponsor, lower plan expenses and to assist the plan participants in reaching their retirement goals and enable them to retire with a sustainable retirement income.
Joe has been instrumental in creating employee education and communication material with an emphasis on IRC 404(c) and fiduciary responsibility. The breadth and depth of Joe’s experience in the retirement plan marketplace allows clients access to virtually every aspect of implementing and maintaining retirement plans of all types.
Joe has earned the designations of Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ (AIF®) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies at the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Executive Education, and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. Joe is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). He has been a frequent guest speaker at formal speaking engagements and has given seminars through many Community Education programs on retirement plans and income planning in retirement.
